Hemoptysis hails from Phoenix, Arizona.  You can admit it, the band name makes you immediately visualize blood and gore, and maybe even causes you to rethink what you are going to have for lunch.  I promise you, listening to their music won’t have the same effect on you!

The band has released their debut full length album, Misanthropic Slaughter, the full-length follow up to their critically acclaimed EP – Who Needs A Sheppard? on March 8th, 2011 and has received positive reviews from all over the world.

The album released in Europe with the Shadow of Death Music Video as a bonus feature via Rock It Up Records.

The video for Shadow of Death can be viewed below.

Hemoptysis worked with Grammy award winning producer/mixer Ryan Greene on the album.   Ryan has worked with bands such as Megadeth, Jay-Z, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Gladys Knight, Tonic, NOFX, Lagwagon, No Use For a Name, Good Riddance, Pulley, Cheap Trick, Lita Ford, Authority Zero, Strung Out, Patty La Belle, Dishwalla, Sick of it all, Tower of Power and many more.

Masaki Murashita, (vocals and guitar) on working with Ryan Greene -

“I have known Ryan since 2007 and I have been working for him since then. While I gained a lot of experience about producing, engineering, and mixing, I also learned what it takes to succeed in this industry and you have to have the right attitude for that. He puts all his effort into his projects and my first dream since I formed Hemoptysis was to make a record with him, and I finally made it happen. He brings fresh air to the bands he works with and makes bands sound unique. The experiences you get through working with him are priceless.”

Masaki and Travis Thune (Drums) formed Hemoptysis in early 2007. They released a low budget, five-song EP in September of 2008. We went through several lead guitarists and ended up with our current guitarist Ryan Miller, who is also in a band called Excessive Bleeding.

In April of this year, Hemoptysis vocalist and guitarist Masaki Murashita announced an endorsement deal with ENGL Amps ( http://www.engl-amps.com/cms/ ), joining notable guitarists such as Gary Holt (Exodus), Jeff Loomis (Nevermore), Mille Petrozza (Kreator), Marty Friedman, and many others in his endorsement of ENGL Amps.  Be sure and check out the websites below for all additional endorsements.
